On Tuesday July 1st 2008, representatives of ECHOS International (European Christian Homes
Organisations for the Services) and the Lithuanian Birutes Union met with Juozas Olekas, Minister of
National Defence of Lithuania. On behalf of Birutes Union, chairwoman Mrs. Ruta Kronkaitis and
Mrs. Judita Nagiene were present. ECHOS International was presented by Major General (Retd) Leen
Noordzij, present secretary general of ECHOS International and Mr. Cees van der Mast.
