ECHOS stands for European Christian Home Organisations for the Services. ECHOS acts as a council for civil organisations of countries from all over the world that provide welfare on a Christian basis to the armed forces of their respective countries. Thus the member organisations have the possibility to meet, discuss subjects of common interest, exchange ideas and experiences, explore opportunities to co-operate and to support each other in the execution of their activities. Press Release ECHOS Lithuania Date: 15 August 2008 On Tuesday July 1st 2008, representatives of ECHOS International (European Christian Homes Organisations for the Services) and the Lithuanian Birutes Union met with Juozas Olekas, Minister of National Defence of Lithuania. On behalf of Birutes Union, chairwoman Mrs. Ruta Kronkaitis and Mrs. Judita Nagiene were present.
